ECA responds to Commission's invitation to provide comments and concrete text proposals in view of a possible resumption of EU-US talks on an Open Aviation Area. As front-end users of any future OAA Agreement, European pilots are concerned that the deal, that is likely to be achievable within the set timeframe, would further tip the balance to the disadvantage of the EU.

The European Parliament is currently debating the Commission's proposal for an "Air Carrier Identity" Regulation. This Regulation would oblige Member States to publish a list of airlines banned from their airspace. It would also give passengers the right to know the identity of the airline that will actually transport them to their destination.

Following the conclusion of discussions in the Working Group on the Revision of Regulation 2320, the European Cockpit Association (ECA) would like to make some general comments.
